Opportunity Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will build secure Azure infrastructure for an Internal Developer Platform and bring agentic AI into everyday infrastructure work. You'll design AI agents that automate infrastructure tasks safely, with the right guardrails in place, and help modernize CI/CD as part of an ongoing migration to GitHub Actions.

Your responsibilities

• Building and evolving secure Azure infrastructure for an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) using Terraform, including networking, private endpoints, RBAC, and managed identities.
• Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including OIDC authentication, reusable workflows, and release pipelines.
• Supporting the migration of pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions.
• Designing and building AI agents and agentic workflows that automate infrastructure and platform tasks.
• Developing custom agent skills, instructions, tools, and integrations.
• Implementing guardrails for agents working on infrastructure code, such as least-privilege permissions, prompt injection protection, human approval, and auditability.
• Automating operational processes and building internal tooling with Python and PowerShell.
• Using GitHub Copilot (agent mode, custom agents, instructions) to increase productivity and quality of infrastructure code.
• Conducting code reviews and contributing to documentation and best practices.
• Sharing knowledge about AI tooling and agentic patterns, contributing to a collaborative learning culture within the team.

Our requirements

• Hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience with Terraform on Azure (networking, private endpoints, RBAC, managed identities), ideally for an Internal Developer Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD in GitHub Actions (OIDC, reusable workflows, release pipelines). Azure DevOps experience is a plus for the ongoing migration.
• Strong Python and PowerShell skills for automation and tooling.
• Practical experience designing and building AI agents and agentic workflows, including prompt and context engineering, tool calling, custom skills and instructions, and integrations.
• Daily use of GitHub Copilot (agent mode, custom agents, instructions).
• Understanding of the risks of running agents against infrastructure code, including permissions, prompt injection, human approval, and auditability.
• Proactive and curious mindset, comfortable working in dynamic, fast-evolving project environments.
• Fluent English communication, able to collaborate effectively across international teams.

Optional

• Experience with GitHub Agentic Workflows (gh-aw) or comparable frameworks.
• Experience building or operating MCP servers.
• Terraform testing (terraform test), state management, and drift handling.
• Databricks infrastructure experience (Unity Catalog, workspace and metastore provisioning, networking).
• Experience evaluating and monitoring agent quality and cost.
• Experience migrating pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions.
