Senior Software Engineer - SimCorp

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to support the SimCorp Dimension platform. We have an extensive installation of SimCorp hosted at the firm, supporting a multi-asset global Asset Management business. You will be joining our SimCorp Dimension Platform team, designing and building next-generation business applications using the latest technologies.

Responsibilities

• Understand how SimCorp integrates with the broader client's environment
• Interpret business requirements into solutions through application level configuration
• Support the SimCorp Production environment, incident management and problem resolution
• Provide expertise in SimCorp setup and operations to improve platform effectiveness and support technology and business teams
• Maintain lower test and development environments
• Manage hand-over between regional teams to support a global operation
• Deliver additional insights and information about the platform and operating environment

Requirements

• 3+ years of SimCorp experience
• Experience in configuring the SCD Platform across multiple core modules, including API installation & configuration, Communication Server, and Dashboard layout configurations
• Experience in configuring Portfolio Calculation, Corporate Action Manager, and Reconciliation Manager
• Experience in configuring Performance Manager, Collateral & Margin Management, and Settlement Manager
• Practical understanding of platform support, incident management and post-incident problem resolution
• Capability to work in a global team across time zones
• Understanding of the Windows platform, the foundation for SimCorp
• Working knowledge of Portfolio Accounting and Investment Management systems and processes for asset management
• Skills in integration configuration, e.g., API and Communication Server
• Good understanding of SimCorp Infrastructure, including Calc Servers, MUCS, and Comm Servers
• Understanding of Message Queues, Batch services, and Aux jobs
• Working knowledge of the SimCorp windows and underlying data navigation and configuration

Nice to have

• Experience of Oracle
• Experience in using SimCorp Data Warehouse and Oracle databases
• PowerShell scripting and/or Oracle PL-SQL experience
