Mid-Level UI/UX Developer (React Developer)

Recruitment for

For our client, big financial institution, we are seeking a Mid-Level UI/UX Developer with strong React.js expertise to build and maintain scalable, high-performance front-end features for client facing Portals.

The ideal candidate combines solid engineering fundamentals with a working UI/UX sensibility, ensuring designs are implemented faithfully while flagging usability or consistency issues early.

You will work closely with the Senior Design/Developer and backend teams to deliver modular, maintainable front-end solutions.

About the project

Development of client-facing portals for a large financial institution. The team builds modular front-end solutions in React and TypeScript based on the company's Design System, integrated with REST APIs and backend microservices, and works in Agile.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop front-end features using React.js, TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling, per approved designs and the company's Design System.
• Build reusable UI components and contribute to shared component libraries.
• Collaborate with the Senior Design/Developer to ensure pixel-accurate, design-faithful implementation.
• Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs / backend microservices.
• Optimize application performance, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI defects and production issues.
• Support automated testing (unit/integration) for front-end code.

Our requirements

• Strong React.js and TypeScript development experience.
• Solid understanding of modern front-end architecture patterns (component-based design, state management e.g. Redux/Context API).
• Working familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma) — able to read, interpret, and faithfully implement designs.
• Experience integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Basic understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Exposure to containerized application environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Optional

• Exposure to Micro Frontend concepts (Module Federation), basic SQL/database knowledge, financial services or transfer agency domain exposure.
