About the project

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to develop a programmatic advertising platform where milliseconds directly affect ad-buying decisions. You’ll work on high-throughput, low-latency backend systems, applying your AdTech or RTB expertise to challenges in real-time advertising.

Your responsibilities

• Build and improve backend services supporting real-time ad-buying and delivery decisions.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and improve throughput, latency and reliability.
• Develop bidding flows, advertising integrations and services processing bid-stream data.
• Contribute to technical decisions across performance-critical backend components.
• Apply your domain knowledge to engineering challenges in programmatic advertising.

Our requirements

• Senior-level backend engineering experience, including work on high-throughput, low-latency production systems.
• Strong experience in RTB or AdTech, particularly in programmatic advertising, media delivery or advertising marketplaces.
• Solid backend engineering experience with Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Rust, Java or Python, and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
• The ability to investigate performance issues and make sound engineering trade-offs.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and a practical approach to solving complex technical problems.

Optional

• Knowledge of OpenRTB 2.5/2.6, IAB standards and advertising formats.
• Experience with DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, header bidding or Prebid.
• Familiarity with OpenRTB Native, VAST, bid shading, pacing or frequency capping.
• Understanding of IAB TCF 2.2 and GDPR consent handling in advertising systems.
