Our client provides an AI-driven Intelligent Observability Platform designed to transform complex telemetry into actionable business automation.

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to solve complex multi-region automation challenges. Standing up new global regions (e.g., Japan) currently involves heavy toil with cell-based architectures, Kafka clusters, and hundreds of deployment configurations. You will design and build high-level orchestration workflows above base Terraform to make multi-region provisioning seamless and automated.

Your responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced automation workflows above Terraform to automate full-region spin-ups and deployment cells.
• Manage and optimize large-scale Kafka clusters running on Kubernetes.
• Maintain and scale infrastructure across AWS (primary) and Azure environments using Kubernetes (EKS), RDS, and proprietary storage systems.
• Simplify complex YAML configurations, pipelines, and deployment templates into scalable platform tooling.
• Drive reliability, observability, and infrastructure-as-code standards across global regions.

Our requirements

• Proven experience building high-level automation workflows beyond basic Terraform scripts.
• Deep hands-on experience operating Apache Kafka on Kubernetes at scale.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and IaC (Terraform).
• Experience with cell-based architectures, multi-region deployments, and pipeline orchestration.
• Openness to occasional pre-scheduled evening calls (between 17:00–21:00 CET) to sync with US-based stakeholders.
