Junior DevOps

Position Description
The DBS team is growing, and we are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer who wants to develop their skills in cloud and DevOps. As part of the team, you will get the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies. You will join our DevOps team, in which every engineer takes ownership of a specific area, and you will work alongside experienced engineers who will support your growth.
We are looking for someone curious and eager to learn, who takes initiative, asks questions and is not afraid to suggest ideas.

You will be responsible for:
• Supporting the management and monitoring of our cloud environment (Azure).
• Helping to maintain our Kubernetes clusters (AKS).
• Maintaining and improving the tools and processes used to build, release and deploy our software products.
• Monitoring the stability, availability and performance of systems and applications, and reacting to issues.
• Working with development teams on infrastructure topics.
• Gradually taking ownership of a selected area of our DevOps environment.

Position Requirements

Must have
• Knowledge of Linux (command line, basic administration).
• Knowledge of Docker (building images, running containers).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes (core concepts such as pods, deployments and services).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform, Ansible, ARM or Bicep. Commercial, academic or personal-project experience all count.

Nice to have
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or another public cloud.
• Basic Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts or tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Basic understanding of Helm, monitoring and logging tools, load balancers or reverse proxies.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile/Scrum ways of working.

• Good communication in English, both written and spoken.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, curiosity and a proactive attitude.

Hybrid work model - initially, 20% of working time will be spent in the office, with less frequent office attendance over time, but no less than 10%. Therefore, we prefer candidates based in or near Wrocław.
