Opportunity Overview

As a Junior Backend Engineer (AI), you will build Python backend services and AI-powered solutions on Azure and Databricks for global clients. You’ll work within complex enterprise environments, growing your skills alongside experienced engineers.

Your responsibilities

• Developing backend services and AI-powered features in Python.
• Building and integrating solutions on Azure and Databricks.
• Working within complex enterprise systems, understanding their architecture, dependencies, and data flows.
• Maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
• Writing clean, tested, and well-documented code and participating in code reviews.
• Translating business requirements into well-structured technical tasks with support from senior engineers.
• Exploring new AI technologies and sharing your findings with the team.

Our requirements

• At least 1 year of commercial experience in Python development.
• Experience working with Azure.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Ability to understand and navigate complex enterprise systems.
• Genuine interest in AI technologies.
• AI-related projects (commercial, academic, or personal) described in your CV.
• Drive and a proactive approach: you take initiative and push things forward.
• Fluent English communication, able to collaborate effectively across international teams.

Optional

• Experience with LLM APIs (e.g. Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic) or agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with core LLM concepts, such as prompt engineering, tool calling, or RAG.
• Experience with FastAPI or other Python web frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL and PySpark.
• Experience with AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot).
