Finance SME – Chemicals / Petrochemicals (Downstream)

Summary: The role focuses on bringing expertise in finance specific to the chemicals and petrochemicals industry, particularly in aligning financial practices with integrated refining-chemicals value chains and joint ventures.

Main Responsibilities:

• Capture chemicals finance, reporting, and KPI practices across entities and joint ventures.

• Define product chain hierarchies (e.g., olefins, aromatics, polymers, specialties) and their valuation attributes.

• Advise on cost allocation and transfer pricing in integrated refining-chemicals complexes.

• Define segment and product profitability requirements for chemicals.

• Validate GCOA, dimensions, and governance outputs from a chemicals perspective.

Key Requirements:

• Senior finance role in a petrochemicals or integrated refining-chemicals company.

• Experience with joint-product costing, shared-site allocations, and JV/affiliate reporting.

• Knowledge of commodity and specialty chemicals margin analysis.

Nice to Have:

• GCC petrochemicals experience.

• Exposure to ESG/emissions reporting in chemicals.

• Experience: 15+ years in finance; 8+ years in chemicals/petrochemicals.

• Seniority Level: Senior Manager / Director equivalent.
