At NATEK, we are looking for an experienced Product Owner to take ownership of a portfolio of key business-critical data, reporting, and financial products for our German banking client. This role combines product ownership, technical governance, stakeholder management, and operational oversight, ensuring products remain stable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs.

This is a highly technical position, with an approximate 80% technical and 20% business focus, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy operating at the intersection of technology, data, and stakeholder management. You will work closely with business users, technical teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders to ensure the successful operation and continuous evolution of complex enterprise platforms, data ecosystems, and reporting solutions.

You will have daily interaction with German-speaking business and technical stakeholders, therefore strong verbal and written German skills are essential.

Your responsibilities

• Own and manage assigned IT products throughout their entire lifecycle, from implementation and operation to retirement.

• Drive product lifecycle activities, including upgrades, replacements, decommissioning, and EoM/EoL management.

• Ensure accurate product documentation, governance standards, and operational readiness.

• Support ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Capacity Management.
  

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Collaborate with security, risk, compliance, procurement, and other key stakeholders.

• Ensure appropriate patching, system maintenance, backup, recovery, and continuity measures.

• Translate business needs into product requirements and align priorities with stakeholders.

• Manage vendor relationships, licensing, contracts, and third-party dependencies.

• Coordinate with other product owners and teams to manage cross-product impacts and dependencies.

Our requirements

• 4 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Application Owner, IT Product Responsible, or similar role.

• Fluent German language skills (minimum B2 level) are required.

• Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL), including Incident, Problem, Change, and Lifecycle Management.

• Experience with one or more of the following platforms is highly desirable:

ABACUS360, Ab Initio, MicroStrategy, TXS.

• Proven experience managing products throughout the full product lifecycle.

• Good understanding of IT operations, technical maintenance, capacity planning, and service continuity.

• Knowledge of information security, risk management, governance, and compliance principles.

• Experience working with a broad range of business and technical stakeholders.

• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

• Ability to translate business requirements into product solutions and drive product-related decisions.

• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Experience with data, analytics, or cloud-based products (e.g., Azure, Power BI, Databricks).

• Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments.
