Senior QA Engineer / Software V&V (Medical Software)

Regulatory experience is essential 

This role requires previous experience in a regulated industry. 

We are specifically looking for candidates who have worked under IEC 62366-1, ISO 13485, MDR Annex I, MDCG 2019-16, or equivalent frameworks in Medical Devices, Automotive, Aviation, Industrial Safety, Defence, Railway, or other highly regulated environments. 

If you have never worked in an environment where traceability, compliance, audits and formal verification are part of everyday engineering, this position is unlikely to be a good fit. 

About the role 

This is not a typical QA Automation position. 

You will own verification and validation activities across backend services, web applications, mobile applications (iOS & Android) and embedded systems. 

We are looking for an engineer who can determine what should be tested, why it should be tested, what evidence is required, and whether automation or manual testing is the right approach. 

A note on manual testing 

We expect you to be comfortable getting your hands dirty when needed. Exploratory testing, release verification, defect investigation and testing against real hardware remain a part of this role. 

Building the QA Function 

You will help establish QA processes, improve verification practices, maintain regulatory compliance, prepare for audits and ensure traceability and documentation quality.  
In the future this role might evolve into QA Lead or Quality & Verification Manager. 

What you will do 

Verification & Validation 

• Define test strategy and verification scope 

• Maintain traceability between requirements, risks and test results according to the regulatory requirements 

• Create test evidence suitable for audits and regulatory reviews 

• Support audit readiness initiatives 

• Improve QA processes and workflows 

Automation & Testing 

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks 

• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines 

Hands-On Testing 

• Perform exploratory and manual testing 

• Test firmware and hardware communication 

• Investigate defects and support root-cause analysis 

• Determine when manual testing provides greater value than automation 

Requirements 

• 5+ years of QA / Test Automation experience  

• Experience in a regulated industry 

• Comfortable working in documentation-heavy environments 

• Understanding of traceability, compliance and audit readiness 

• Experience owning test strategy and verification activities 

• Experience designing automation frameworks 

• Experience with API, frontend, mobile or embedded testing 

• Strong ownership mindset 

• English C1+, Polish C1+ 

Technology Stack 

We do not expect you to be an expert with all of the technologies from our tech stack, but you should at least hear of most of them, know which one is used for what purpose, and be willing to dive deeper into topics required better understanding for you to accomplish your tasks.
