mid Java Engineer

Why Join Us

At Cloudfide, we engineer solutions where data truly becomes an accelerator for innovation. We build and evolve large-scale Big Data and cloud-native platforms for global clients, including leaders in retail and the Fortune 500. We process massive, complex datasets, operate fully in the cloud ecosystem, and work with the latest technologies, including AI, ML, MLOps, and modern data architectures.

Our projects have measurable, real‑world impact - from enhancing customer experiences at scale to empowering data-driven decision-making in high‑visibility global organizations. As we continue to grow, you'll have the opportunity to shape solutions, mentor others, drive architecture decisions, and take ownership of strategic initiatives.

Opportunity Overview

As a Mid Java Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain backend services and cloud-hosted applications on Microsoft Azure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams - including DevOps, data engineers, and product stakeholders - to deliver reliable, scalable, and well-architected solutions that power our clients' most critical systems.

Expect a modern cloud-native environment (Azure-first), clean engineering practices, and direct exposure to large-scale, international projects across Fortune 500 organizations.

You'll join a team of passionate engineers who value technical excellence, clear communication, and a strong sense of ownership over the things they build.

Your Responsibilities

• Designing and developing backend services and APIs in Java, following clean code principles and best practices.

• Building and maintaining applications deployed on Azure Web Apps, with proper use of Azure Storage and Key Vault.

• Writing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support reliable, automated delivery.

• Working with PostgreSQL to design schemas, write efficient queries, and maintain data integrity.

• Containerizing applications with Docker and contributing to consistent, reproducible deployment workflows.

• Collaborating actively with DevOps engineers, data teams, and business stakeholders to align technical delivery with project goals.

• Taking ownership of features end-to-end - from design to deployment and ongoing support.

• Troubleshooting production issues and contributing to post-incident improvements.

• Contributing to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

What We're Looking For

• Around 3 years of experience in backend development with Java.

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and object-oriented principles.

• Practical experience with PostgreSQL - schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.

• Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on Azure, including Web Apps, Storage, Key Vault, and basic Networking concepts.

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

• Working knowledge of Docker and containerized application deployment.

• Strong cross-discipline communication skills - comfortable working with engineers, DevOps teams, and non-technical stakeholders alike.

• A proven sense of ownership and reliability: you follow through, flag blockers early, and care about the quality of what you ship.
