QA Automation Engineer (Java / API Testing) (f/m)

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join a team working on a project focused on backend test automation and ensuring the quality of communication between systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Java, REST API and SOAP testing, and can independently design, develop, and maintain automated tests. We value a proactive mindset, ownership, and strong collaboration skills.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated backend tests using Java.

• Automate API testing using REST Assured.

• Perform testing of REST API and SOAP/WSDL services.

• Validate data integrity and communication between integrated systems.

• Write and execute SQL queries for testing and data validation purposes.

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks following OOP principles and Clean Code practices.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.

• Generate and manage test reports using Allure and test management tools.

• Actively contribute to improving testing processes and overall software quality.

Our Requirements

• Hands-on experience in backend test automation.

• Strong Java programming skills and practical experience in developing automated tests.

• Experience in testing REST API and SOAP/WSDL services.

• Practical knowledge of REST Assured.

• Hands-on experience with Allure for automated test reporting.

• Good SQL skills, including the ability to independently write queries and validate data.

• Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), Clean Code principles, and POJO.

• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• A proactive approach, ownership of assigned tasks, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Nice to Have

• Experience in ETL testing and data processing workflows.

• Knowledge of Apache Kafka.

• Practical experience using AI tools in daily engineering or testing activities.

• Familiarity with JUnit 5 and Lombok.

• Experience with qTest or alternative test management tools.

• Experience working with complex backend systems and system integrations.
