Role Overview

We are looking for a Windows audio stack specialist to join a project for an EU-based company in embedded audio systems and speech processing. The work covers developing audio drivers and components and running AI models securely on PCs.
Occasional business trips of 3–5 days may be required, especially at the start of the project.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing APOs (Audio Processing Objects)

• Building virtual microphones and audio drivers

• Working with WASAPI, WDK, and PortCls/ACX

• Preparing solutions for HLK/WHQL certification

• Implementing real-time DSP

• Integrating and running models using ONNX/DirectML/QNN

Requirements

• Extensive experience with the Windows audio stack

• Experience developing audio drivers (WDK, PortCls and/or ACX)

• Knowledge of APO and WASAPI

• Experience with the HLK/WHQL process

• Proficiency in C/C++

• Experience with real-time DSP

• Fluent English

• Willingness to travel occasionally (3–5 days)

Nice to have

• Experience with ONNX Runtime, DirectML, or QNN

• Knowledge of secure ML model deployment on end-user devices
