AI Automation Engineer

About the project

We are seeking an autonomous, "AI-first" AI/ML Automation Engineer to bridge the gap between cutting-edge Generative AI technology, traditional Machine Learning, and real-world business value.

In this role, you will design and build robust AI automation pipelines, integrate custom solutions with enterprise environments, and champion your technical choices to the wider team. You are an incredibly fast prototyper who leverages modern AI development tools (like Cursor) to work with maximum efficiency. While primarily a highly technical engineering role, you are comfortable explaining technical architectures clearly and occasionally running training sessions to help non-technical users adopt your solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Rapid Prototyping & Delivery: Build, test, and deploy production-grade AI workflows, agents, and automation pipelines using Python and the LangChain ecosystem.
• AI-First Development: Maximize delivery speed by using advanced AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to build, test, and iterate code at 10x pace.
• Enterprise Integration: Connect custom AI solutions with enterprise environments, specifically leveraging and extending the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem.
• Enablement & Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops for non-technical users to ensure smooth adoption of new AI tools and automations.
• Collaborative Architecture: Work closely with product or business leaders to translate raw ideas into technical architecture, defending your technical choices with clear logic.

Our requirements

• Python Mastery: Deep experience writing clean, production-ready Python code.
• GenAI Ecosystem: Experience building agentic workflows using the LangChain family (LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith) or similar frameworks (e.g., LlamaIndex).
• AI-Native Workflow: Fluent in Cursor (or equivalent AI-first IDEs) to prompt, debug, and write code alongside AI to deliver rapidly.
• Microsoft Ecosystem: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, or Azure OpenAI integrations.
• English Fluency (C1/C2): Strong spoken and written English. You must be comfortable explaining technical architectures clearly to peers and training non-technical users.

Optional

• Low-Code Automation (n8n): Experience building visual workflows
• Classic ML & NLP Domains: Strong foundational knowledge or hands-on experience in:
• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Text classification, entity recognition, and classic semantic search.
• Computer Vision / Image Recognition: Working with image classification, object detection, or multimodal vision models.
• Recommendation & Matchmaking Engines: Building heuristic-based or model-based matching algorithms and ranking systems.
• Discovery & Consulting: Experience leading discovery workshops with external clients or internal business units to map business pain points to AI solutions.

What we offer

• Remote-First Flexibility: Stay where you feel most productive. Here’s a remote-first environment with the freedom to set your own schedule. Whether you need a midday break or a specific routine, we trust you to manage your time and deliver results while maintaining your personal well-being.
• Cafeteria & Health Membership: We provide access to premium medical packages which include Medicover Sport. You can also choose a MultiSport card and group insurance options. All these packages are managed through Cafeteria System, giving you the autonomy to choose exactly what fits your lifestyle.
• Collaboration Mindset: Facing a complex challenge? At STX Next, you collaborate with true enthusiasts and experts who prioritize professional support and direct, honest feedback.
• Tech Events: Gain access to specialized knowledge through bootcamps, Strategic Skills Labs, and Tech Knowledge Hubs focused on AI, Data, and Cloud. Beyond our internal webinars and technical materials, we host branded meetups like DevDuck and PAIDA.
• In-person Networking: We support autonomy by enabling project groups to set up their own internal meetings in a location they prefer, often in our Poznań or Gliwice offices, which are great for coordination and building professional relationships. We also take a break from our screens twice a year for our Summer and Winter events.
• Professional Toolkit: Prior to your first day as a NEXTer, you will receive a top-tier equipment setup: laptops, monitor, and peripherals tailored to your needs and specific project role.
