You role

We are seeking a Mainframe Infrastracture Engineer to support enterprise IT environments. You will be responsible for identifying service issues early and providing resolutions whenever possible (based on documented procedures) or liaising with the Level 2 team if required.Our client is based in France, which is why French language is essential for effective daily communication. As a local team, we work from our office in Katowice, where we regulary meet and collaborate.You can join a team of analysts providing 24/7 monitoring of customer infrastructure!

Your tasks

• Monitoring and supervision of Mainframe and distributed IT infrastructure

• Handling incidents, alerts and service

• Executing operational tasks by strictly following documented procedures and operational guidelines

• Performing health checks and analyzing results on customer infrastructures

• Supporting daily operations of z/OS environments and job schedulers

• Collaborating with international teams to ensure service availability and operational excellence

• Contributing to incident resolution and continuous service improvement

Your profile

• Communicative level of French and good command of English

• Experience working in a Mainframe support, operations, or infrastructure environment

• Knowledge of Mainframe technologies and willingness to further develop expertise in this area

• Experience with IBM z/OS (MVS) or other Mainframe operating environments

• Experience with scheduling tools such as IWS

• Basic understanding of Linux and/or Windows systems

• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

• Readiness to work in a two-shift model as part of a 24/7 service
