Software Developer

We are looking for a full stack software developer in Hørsholm, Denmark/ or in Gdynia, Poland, to help develop the application of the MUSE Software - DHI’s integrated offshore wind bird- and bat-monitoring and decision-support system, serving wind farms across the world.

Responsibilities and challenges

You will work on delivering the MUSE application and doing a difference for endangered birds across the world.

You will be a part of a friendly and diverse team located both in Hørsholm and across Europe. Everyone is passionate about the product and striving to provide our clients with outstanding technical advice and customer service.

The main responsibilities and challenges in the job are:

• Develop the software application

• Contribute to design of the solution

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, stability and functional issues

• Collaborate closely with local and international colleagues across disciplines spanning Software, infrastructure, hardware and scientific

• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing

Qualifications and personal skills 

We are looking for a generalist software developer with a “can do” attitude.

We expect the following qualifications:

• Bachelor or master degree within computer science or similar

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in backend development 

• Experience in C# with .NET Core

• Experience with or strong desire to learn:

  • Streaming architecture

  • Sensor networks

  • Event-based programming

  • Microservices

  • Agile/Scrum work practice

• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken) 

Nice to have:

• Experience with:

  • Network

  • Full stack development

• Cybersecurity

  • AI in relation to trackers

  • Camera / hardware integration experience

  • Control systems fundamentals – PID

Personal skills

• Self-motivated and proactive

• Ability to work under pressure

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
