About the project

At Antdata, we’re looking for a Financial BI Analyst who combines financial understanding with practical SQL and Power BI skills. You’ll investigate reporting discrepancies, strengthen data validation, and improve the dashboards that finance teams and executive stakeholders rely on.

You’ll take ownership of reporting issues from investigation through resolution, working closely with Finance, Data Engineering, and BI specialists on changes that require deeper technical expertise.

Your responsibilities

• Data reconciliation & reporting quality:
• Investigate discrepancies: compare ERP records with downstream data and reports to identify missing records, duplicates, timing differences, and inconsistent calculation logic.
• Strengthen data validation: design, implement, and maintain recurring checks across source systems, databases, Lakehouses, semantic models, and reports.
• Improve reconciliation monitoring: maintain and extend the Data Reconciliation Dashboard to help detect issues before reporting results are shared.
• Ensure consistency: reconcile figures across reports, align underlying business logic, and clearly explain legitimate differences.
• Follow issues through to resolution: coordinate fixes with the relevant specialists and flag or temporarily restrict affected reports when necessary.
• Power BI & dashboard development:
• Maintain and develop reports: refine visuals, adjust DAX measures, improve performance, and deliver new reports based on stakeholder needs.
• Improve the user experience: make dashboards clearer and easier to navigate, and consolidate overlapping reports into cohesive executive views.
• Coordinate technical changes: collaborate with Data Engineering and the Power BI Team to incorporate new data sources and update shared models.
• Stakeholder collaboration & user support:
• Translate business needs into improvements: gather requirements, clarify reporting logic, and turn feedback into practical solutions.
• Support business users: act as a key contact for reporting questions and issues, and create practical guides and training materials.
• Document how reporting works: maintain clear definitions of KPIs, calculations, filters, access rules, and data lineage.
• Keep stakeholders informed: provide timely updates, communicate reporting changes, and raise blockers with recommendations for next steps.

Our requirements

• Finance knowledge: practical experience in financial reporting, finance analytics, or BI supporting finance teams, with a strong understanding of accounting processes, P&L and balance sheet structures, and financial logic in ERP systems.
• SQL: solid query-writing skills to reconcile records, inspect transformation logic, and investigate discrepancies.
• Power BI & DAX: hands-on experience working with existing semantic models, improving reports, and writing or adjusting basic to intermediate DAX measures.
• Root-cause analysis: the ability to trace issues across systems and distinguish between technical errors, business logic differences, and timing effects.
• Data architecture awareness: a functional understanding of data pipelines, databases, Lakehouses, and Microsoft Fabric concepts.
• Communication & collaboration: the ability to gather requirements, explain findings to non-technical stakeholders, and help users work confidently with reports.
• Ownership: a proactive approach to resolving issues and keeping stakeholders updated without reminders.
• English: confidence communicating with business and technical stakeholders.

• Experience designing automated reconciliation checks or data quality monitoring.
• Experience improving dashboard usability or delivering training for business users.
