Every time someone taps a card in a shop, pays online or sends money abroad, there's a good chance it passes through our client's platform. They are one of the world's largest payments technology companies, processing transactions for millions of businesses and consumers in markets across the globe.

We are hiring Multiple Java Production Support Engineers to join their Warsaw technology hub. You'll be one of the people who make sure those systems stay fast, stable and available, 24/7.

This is not a ticket-closing helpdesk role. You'll investigate real production problems in large-scale Java systems, find the root cause and make sure it doesn't happen again.

🔍 What your day actually looks like

• Morning: check dashboards and alerts, review JVM health and server resources, and catch issues before users notice them

• An incident comes in: dig into application logs, run SQL queries to trace the data, troubleshoot on Linux servers, and restore service within SLA

• After the fix: run a root cause analysis, raise a Problem record and work with developers on the permanent fix

• Release day: support the deployment, monitor the system after go-live and confirm everything is healthy

• Ongoing: improve runbooks and documentation, automate repetitive checks, and help make the platform more resilient

✅ This role is for you if…

• You have 5–7 years in Application Production Support or Application Maintenance

• You know Java well enough to read the code and understand application architecture, not just restart services

• You're comfortable with JVM concepts and diagnosing problems from application logs

• You write SQL confidently to investigate and validate data

• You work hands-on in Unix/Linux, including server-level troubleshooting

• You've supported applications on large-scale server environments

• You enjoy root cause analysis: you want to know why something broke

• You know ITSM processes in practice: Incident, Problem and Change Management

• You stay calm under pressure and can juggle several priorities

• You communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken

Bonus points for experience with monitoring, alerting and ticketing tools, and knowledge of operational governance and service delivery best practices.

🚫 This role is probably not for you if…

• Your experience is mainly L1 helpdesk or user support without hands-on Java

• You're looking for a pure software development role (we have other roles for that; ask us)
