Business Analyst (BI/SQL)

We are looking for a Business Analyst (BI/SQL) to join an international pharmaceutical company that develops and manufactures medicines for patients in many countries. The role sits on a people analytics programme, where workforce data moves from source systems through ETL pipelines into an Oracle data warehouse and then into Visier for modelling, access control, and analysis. Reporting for the business is delivered through Power BI and Qlik Sense dashboards. You will turn written business requirements into technical designs and follow them through to working reports: shaping data models and ETL logic, configuring the analytics platform, checking data with SQL, and confirming that dashboards show what was asked for. The ideal candidate is comfortable working between requirements and implementation, documents their work carefully, and cares about getting the numbers right.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in BI, data, or analytics environments

• Strong SQL skills for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting

• Working experience with BI tools, including ETL and dashboarding tools

• Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts

• Experience with IBM DataStage, Oracle Database, or Azure Databricks

• Hands-on experience with Power BI

• Hands-on experience with Qlik Sense

• Strong technical documentation skills, including design documents, ETL flows, and data models

• Strong analytical skills

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

• English communication skills at Advanced level

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience loading data into Visier and modelling its semantic layer

• Experience configuring security and access in Visier

• Experience implementing or administering Visier as a people analytics platform

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements specifications into technical design documents covering ETL flows, data models, and business logic

• Implement and maintain solutions in Visier, including data ingestion, semantic layer configuration, and security and access setup

• Define and document ETL processes in IBM DataStage

• Define and document data structures in Oracle Database

• Write SQL queries for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting

• Work closely with developers to clarify requirements and support implementation

• Support QA and testing, including unit testing and UAT, with data validation and expected results

• Review Power BI and Qlik Sense dashboards and reports for accuracy against requirements

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and end-to-end traceability
