Senior Software Engineer

About the project

We are building Technology Platforms and Services that enhance the engineering experience by helping teams deliver secure, compliant, and production‑ready software faster.

As part of this mission, the team is developing a Platform Control Automation Service – enabling automated compliance and evidencing of technology controls across multiple internal platforms. This role will be focused on designing and developing automation workflows, APIs, and integrations that streamline control fulfilment and remove manual effort, ensuring that data flows to the right systems at the right time.

We’re looking for a strong engineer with excellent collaboration skills, capable of balancing technical design and execution while engaging with diverse engineering and governance stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

• Analyse and define technology controls that can be automated through Platform services.
• Design and build automation services, APIs, workflows, and integrations to enable scalable control fulfilment.
• Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support control reporting and evidence collection.
• Collaborate with platform, compliance, and tooling teams to embed automated controls effectively.
• Drive engineering excellence through automation, reuse, and process improvement.
• Contribute to DevOps and platform engineering practices, supporting iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

Our requirements

• 8+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong skills in API design, data processing, and workflow development.
• Proficiency in one or more of Java, JavaScript, or Python (OOP and structured paradigms).
• Solid understanding of modern platform architectures (Internal Developer Platforms, hosting, cloud, microservices).
• Good grasp of network and web fundamentals — DNS, TLS, load balancing, reverse proxies, API gateways, and service meshes.
• Hands‑on experience with monitoring & observability tools (Grafana, InfluxDB) and time‑series data analysis.
• Knowledge of databases, schema design, and basic Linux operations.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills in English.
• Ability to work across cross‑functional, global teams and mentor less‑experienced engineers.
• Innovative mindset with a focus on automation, iteration, and continuous improvement.

Optional

• Experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles.
• Familiarity with control automation, risk & compliance systems, or highly regulated environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized deployments.
