About the project

We are looking for a Junior IT Specialist to join our team and provide day-to-day technical support to our employees. In this role, you will help maintain our IT systems and infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure a smooth and reliable IT environment.

Your responsibilities

• Providing technical support to employees (Windows, macOS, Linux), including laboratory workstations and devices
• Managing user accounts and access, including onboarding and offboarding of employees
• Preparing and deploying computers: OS installation, software, updates and security settings
• Supporting the administration of servers, virtual machines and backups
• Helping maintain the network infrastructure (LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall)
• Responding to security alerts and phishing reports together with the IT team
• Maintaining IT documentation and the hardware and software inventory
• Taking part in IT projects and automating routine tasks

Our requirements

• Around 1 year of experience in IT support or administration
• Good working knowledge of Windows and basic familiarity with macOS and Linux
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Familiarity with user account administration (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Active Directory)
• Basic knowledge of or interest in virtualization technologies (Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V)
• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash or Python) would be an advantage
• Familiarity with IT security principles and willingness to develop skills in this area
• Willingness to learn, a proactive attitude and good communication skills
• Communicative English (B1 level)
