Product Lead (Trading)

Product Lead

Description

We're building a trading product from the ground up and looking for a Product Lead who is both an active trader and an experienced product manager.

This isn't a role where one side is a nice-to-have. You'll be making product decisions that require real market intuition — understanding how traders think, what they actually need at execution speed, what separates a tool they trust from one they abandon, who the players in the market are, such as prop firms, brokers, data providers, what a CME license is, etc. Product management skills alone won't get you there. Trading experience alone won't either.

At TradeFill in partnership with Railsware Product Studio, we build products that people love. You may know Railsware from building TradeZella, Calendly, ParentSquare, Mailtrap.io, Coupler.io, or TitanApps.io — tools that quietly serve millions of people. We bring the same craft and conviction to everything we build.

This particular role is part of a small, founder-led team building in the trading space. You'd be joining:

• Yaroslav Lazor — product & engineering (CEO and founder of Railsware, previously helped scale Calendly)

• Umar Ashraf — product, markets & distribution (founder of Tradezella, with 4M+ subscriber YouTube trading channel)

It's a tight team. Your decisions carry real weight. If that kind of ownership drives you, we'd love to hear from you!

What you’ll get?

• The ability to build and launch a product from scratch, fully managing the process at a stable company with extensive experience developing successful products

• Full ownership — from idea to shipped product, you run the loop

• Product-market proximity — you'll use the product yourself as a trader

• Collaborating with top market brands in the trading world – prop firms, brokers

• True AI-first environment with a stellar engineering team — we use AI as a core part of how we plan, research, design, and build, yet in tight collaboration with true engineering talent

• Outcome-driven culture — we combine synchronous collaboration with focused asynchronous work, choosing the approach that best supports effective outcomes

What You Will Do

Product Strategy

• Contribute to and own the end-to-end product vision

• Communicate that vision clearly to stakeholders and cross-functional teams

• Transform strategy into a prioritized product roadmap

• Prepare a billing model aligned with revenue and profitability goals

Product Prototyping and Discovery

• Lead product ideation and prototyping - channeling that into discovery sessions

• Conduct customer development activities — including direct calls with traders and potential users

• Run market research and competitive analysis

Product Development

• Define and scope features for development

• Lead the development process using Agile methodology

• Carry out proactive risk management and troubleshooting

UI/UX

• AI-driven prototypes, mockups, wireframes

• Collaborate with a product designer to implement current UI/UX best practices

• Improve product UX to drive conversion and retention

Product Analytics

• Constantly monitor and improve product success metrics such as MRR, CAC, LTV, Churn, NPS, etc

• Conduct ad-hoc analysis of the web and product metrics using data from the product database to validate decisions

• Make data-driven decisions alongside the data analytics team

What we’re looking for

Product Management

• 5+ years in Product Management

• Hands-on experience shipping SaaS products — B2C (end-user focus) and B2B (understanding sales workflows and processes)

• Demonstrated ability to own and communicate end-to-end product vision

• Experience with PDM frameworks, product analytics, and product design tools

• Experience running customer development and market research independently

• Experience delivering software products in the US and/or EU markets

Trading experience

• Active trading experience in any market — futures, stocks, crypto, forex, or similar

• Day trading, scalping, and/or swing trading experience

Technical Background & Tools

• Technical background — you understand high-level architecture, can work directly with engineers, and don't need others to interpret technical constraints

• AI fluency: you use AI actively across research, prototyping, analysis, and decision-making

• Comfortable working with data independently: SQL or equivalent ability to run ad-hoc product analysis without always needing a data analyst

• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools

• General software literacy: comfortable navigating technical tools, dashboards, and developer workflows

Ways of Working

• High autonomy — you set direction, make decisions independently, and drive work forward without needing to be managed

• Strong decision-making: you move fast on imperfect information, commit, and course-correct based on data

• Structured thinker: able to manage multiple workstreams, set priorities, and maintain clarity across contexts

• Data-driven: you form hypotheses, find the data, and update your views

• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

• Excellent written and spoken English

Would Be a Plus

• Experience in product at a broker, trading platform, or fintech

• Experience defining and executing go-to-market strategy

• Engineering background

• Public speaking or content creation
