About

We are looking for a Senior Go Backend Engineer to join a diverse, product-minded team that values collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning.

This is a backend-first role with a full-stack mindset, focused on building scalable web applications and APIs powering a modern Hardware-as-a-Service platform.

Your primary focus will be Go backend development, APIs, data models, and system design, but you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the React/TypeScript frontend whenever a feature requires it.

We follow a "You build it, you run it" philosophy — engineers take ownership of their solutions from initial design through deployment and production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and high-performance APIs using Go

• Architect and deliver end-to-end features, from database models and backend services to frontend integration

• Build reliable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions with a focus on performance and scalability

• Contribute to the React/TypeScript frontend when needed to deliver complete features

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to turn requirements into impactful product features

• Take ownership of services throughout their lifecycle, including testing, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting

• Leverage AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to improve development workflows while ensuring production-grade code quality

• Contribute to technical decisions, architecture improvements, and engineering best practices

What you bring

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments

• Strong hands-on Go experience in production

• Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining high-scale web applications and APIs

• Strong understanding of backend architecture, system design, and data modeling

• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, Git, and modern development practices

• Strong ownership mindset and ability to take responsibility for features from design to production

• Interest in AI-assisted development and agentic coding workflows, with a focus on code quality and engineering judgment

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders

• Fluent English
