Software Engineer / Automation Tester (Java, Cucumber, Spark)

💰 150–200 PLN/h + VAT | B2B

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong test automation experience to join a global technology project focused on building and improving data processing and analytics solutions.

The team is developing components responsible for processing, transforming and storing large volumes of data. The project involves building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines, onboarding new data sources, preparing data for downstream applications, and ensuring its quality through comprehensive integration and end-to-end automated testing.

You will work in an international, Agile engineering team alongside Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Owners and Analysts. The role combines software development, Big Data technologies and test automation, with Java, Cucumber and Apache Spark at the core of the technology stack.

An important part of the project is also supporting the productionisation of data analytics and AI/ML solutions, while maintaining strong engineering practices around Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and code quality.

What you’ll do:

• Develop integration and end-to-end automated tests for data solutions

• Support the development and maintenance of data processing components and pipelines

• Work with large-scale data processing and storage technologies

• Support onboarding of new data sources and build data processing pipelines to provide required data views

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Software Engineers and Data Scientists

• Support the productionisation of analytics solutions

• Work according to Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development practices

• Ensure high standards of code quality and automated testing

What we’re looking for:

Must have:

• Strong programming experience with Java

• Hands-on experience with Cucumber

• Practical experience with Apache Spark

• Experience in automated testing, particularly integration and E2E testing

• Strong communication skills and ability to work within an international team

• Good command of English

Nice to have:

• Experience with REST API testing and automated E2E tests

• Python

• Experience or knowledge of AI/ML

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Practical knowledge of Maven and Git

• Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding tools

• Experience working in an Agile environment
