About the project

We’re looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer (API) with strong Java expertise to drive test automation for back-end services and integration layers. You’ll be part of a collaborative QA community, contributing to continuous improvements in automation strategy, frameworks, and tooling across multiple products and teams.

This is a fully remote role with a focus on API testing, quality engineering, and automation excellence within an agile, cross-functional environment.

Your responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute integration and end-to-end automated tests.
• Develop and maintain API testing frameworks and automation pipelines.
• Participate in release processes and provide QA sign‑offs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, ensuring high‑quality test data and environment setup.
• Continuously improve automation coverage and test efficiency.
• Note: Detailed project information will be shared during the recruitment process.

Our requirements

• Strong coding skills in Java (Core Java, Maven) and experience with Spring Framework.
• Hands‑on work with API testing frameworks such as REST Assured / JUnit.
• Experience with Cucumber (BDD, Gherkin syntax) and in‑sprint test automation.
• Proficiency with GIT, Jenkins, and Jira.
• In‑depth understanding of REST API types (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and HTTP/JSON protocols.
• Familiarity with message schemas (RAML) and request/response mechanisms.
• Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Optional

• Knowledge of service virtualization / STUBs.
• Familiarity with tools like Postman, REST Client, or Anypoint.
• Understanding of retail banking processes or financial products.
