Senior Scrum Master / IT Project Manager – Banking

As a Senior Scrum Master / IT Project Manager, you will be working for our client in the banking and financial services industry, leading the transformation of a key application for top-tier customers. You will manage end-to-end software delivery, promote effective agile practices, and help ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality project outcomes across global teams.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead project scope, risk, stakeholder, budget, and operational risk management.
• Prepare project plans, schedules, estimations, status reports, and task allocations.
• Track project activities to ensure high-quality and timely software delivery.
• Facilitate prioritisation across multiple stakeholders with competing requirements.
• Promote and implement appropriate agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Anticipate and resolve conflicts while maintaining high team morale and collaboration.
• Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Mentor team members and support the adoption of agile techniques, tools, and compliance controls.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in project management, Scrum Master, or a related software delivery role.
• Proven experience driving agile practices in a highly regulated environment.
• Strong expertise in end-to-end project management and agile project delivery.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence, or equivalent platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across global and multiple business-line teams.
• A solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Familiarity with .NET, ETL, databases, and APIs.
• Knowledge of banking products and the financial industry.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience managing projects in the financial domain.
• A background as a software engineer or test engineer.
• Certifications such as Scrum Master or PMP.

Language Required for the role: Fluent English.
