Data Governance Consultant

The Data Governance Specialist embeds data governance into strategic programmes and product delivery teams, establishing clear ownership and driving adoption of data contracts so data is trusted, accountable, and fit for business use; bridging business stakeholders and product teams to make governance part of day-to-day delivery.

Key Responsibilities

·        Facilitate and maintain data ownership and stewardship models.

·        Support development, implementation, and governance of data contracts between producers and consumers.

·        Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to embed governance-by-design into delivery.

·        Support governance forums, reporting, risk management, and issue resolution between data contract parties.

Experience & Skills

·        7+ years in Data Governance, Data Management, Business Analysis, or related field.

·        Strong understanding of data ownership, stewardship, quality, and contracts.

·        Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.

·        Comfortable working across business and technical teams.
