Senior Cloud Engineer

Senior Cloud Engineer | Cloud Automation & Platform Engineering

Warsaw · Hybrid: 1 day per week in the office · Employment contract (Umowa o Pracę)

Do you enjoy building tools that make cloud platforms easier to manage, safer and more reliable? We’re hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to join an international team developing automation for a large organisation’s cloud ecosystem.

The platform spans AWS, Azure and GCP. You don’t need to be an expert in all three: strong hands-on experience with AWS or Azure is what matters most, along with the curiosity to work across cloud environments.

What you’ll work on

• Build Python tools used across the cloud platform, from automation and API integrations to larger internal solutions.

• Use Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools to make cloud environments consistent and easier to manage.

• Automate security, governance and compliance checks, and help teams resolve configuration issues.

• Improve monitoring, health checks, auditing and secure CI/CD workflows.

• Investigate complex platform issues, find their root causes and put lasting fixes in place.

• Work with engineers, architects and product teams in Warsaw and internationally.

This role offers plenty of hands-on engineering. The team’s current focus is on cloud automation, security and governance, alongside keeping the platform reliable.

What we’re looking for

• At least 4 years of practical cloud engineering experience.

• Strong knowledge of AWS or Azure. Experience with a second cloud is welcome, especially an AWS and Azure combination.

• Solid Python programming skills. You should be comfortable building maintainable tools, beyond writing standalone scripts.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.

• Experience with containers and Kubernetes.

• A good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, monitoring and production troubleshooting.

• The ability to work independently, explain technical decisions and collaborate in English.

Experience with enterprise governance, compliance or shared cloud platforms would be a plus. So would familiarity with AI-assisted or specification-driven development. Cloud certifications are welcome, but practical experience matters more.

What you can expect

• An employment contract (Umowa o Pracę) and a hybrid model with 1 day per week in the Warsaw office.

• An annual performance bonus with a target of 18% of annual base salary, dependent on company and individual results.

• A local team of experienced Cloud Engineers, with colleagues in Germany and the US.

• Medical care, flexible wellbeing benefits, group insurance and an employer-supported pension plan.

• A home office allowance and additional paid holidays.

The recruitment process has two stages. First, you’ll meet the Hiring Manager and a Cloud Engineer for a technical discussion. The second conversation is with platform leadership and another team member.
