About the project

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Developer to join a project focused on software development for IoT product controllers.

By joining us, you become a member of the Embedded Competence Center at Sii - an internal organizational unit bringing together more than 500 specialists across Poland! We are currently working on approximately 100 projects for 50 clients across various industries, including automotive, IoT, telecommunications, and medical. We focus on development and knowledge exchange by organizing Embedded Academies, training, technical mentoring or enabling project changes.

Your responsibilities

• Working from the client’s office 2 days per week
• Developing middleware firmware for the entire product platform in C
• Creating bootloaders for a wide range of products
• Implementing basic audio/video processing algorithms for the reference application
• Integrating Secure Boot mechanisms (MBEDTLS, RSA, PK, asymmetric encryption)
• Applying security measures, including side-channel attack prevention
• Developing unit tests using C++ and Google Test
• Creating automated tests using Python and Pytest
• Maintaining and enhancing build systems (Makefile, CMake)
• Preparing proposals and technical documentation in Confluence
• Collaborating with multiple product teams and providing quick technical support
• Working in a fast-paced SCRUM environment with frequent 3-week sprints followed by releases (JIRA)

Our requirements

• Ability to work from the client's office 2 days a week (hybrid model)
• Min. 5 years of experience as an Embedded Developer
• Proficiency in C for embedded systems development
• Experience in reviewing complex systems design/code for security best practices and compliance with industry standards
• Fluency in Polish and English
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiences
• Strong creative problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
• Residency in Poland

Optional

• Experience in creating bootloaders for various hardware architectures
• Knowledge and experience with cryptography and computer security
• Strong knowledge of RISC-V architecture and the GCC compiler
