Senior Java Developer

We are building a next-generation Investment Reporting platform from scratch (Greenfield). We are looking for a highly experienced Java Engineer to design and develop this brand-new solution. Rather than doing a direct translation or legacy maintenance, our goal is to build a completely new architecture. The existing system will serve purely as a functional reference point to help us understand and capture complex business rules during the design phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• ​Backend-First Development: Design and build scalable Java backend services and ensure seamless integration with the frontend.

• Functional Alignment: Analyze existing business capabilities to ensure the new greenfield platform delivers comprehensive functionality while keeping the code clean and optimized.

• Data Layer Integration: Work with enterprise databases to optimize data processing and ensure consistency as the new platform is rolled out.

• Technical Collaboration: Partner with architects and tech leads to ensure that development aligns perfectly with modern best practices and the targeted system architecture.

Requirements:

• ​Enterprise-Level Java: Robust experience in building scalable backend applications (Spring Boot).

• Solid SQL Skills: Proficiency in relational databases (Sybase and/or Oracle), including analyzing and optimizing data structures and queries.

• Analytical & Adaptable Mindset: Openness to explore and understand the logic of the existing system (built on 4D) to extract core business rules.

• Fluent English: Required for daily collaboration within our international team.

• Nice to Have:

  • ​Angular Experience: Familiarity with developing Single Page Applications (SPA) and frontend state management.

  • Experience participating in system modernization or platform transformation projects.

  • Familiarity with reporting frameworks (e.g., Jasper Reports).
