About the project

Are you a data driven professional experienced in Databricks, SQL, and Python? We’re looking for a Databricks Analyst to join our technology and audit analytics team, where you’ll transform complex data into actionable insight and ensure data quality, traceability, and compliance across enterprise systems.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a cloud based data environment, collaborating with global technology, control, and audit specialists.

Your responsibilities

• Use Databricks (or a similar cloud based data platform) to access, analyse, and prepare datasets supporting technology, audit, and control functions.
• Extract, transform, and manipulate data using SQL and/or Python, primarily from relational databases, ensuring data accuracy and reproducibility.
• Maintain and enhance existing queries/scripts, and design custom data transformations to meet new business and regulatory requirements.
• Produce structured, audit ready outputs, accompanied by transparent logic and documentation for control validation and audit testing.
• Build or support data visualisations and reports in Power BI or ControlRight, helping stakeholders interpret results effectively.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads, SMEs, and control owners to clarify requirements, validate results, and communicate findings in plain, clear English.
• Document data logic, scripts, and deliverables in Confluence (or similar collaboration tools) to ensure traceability and team coordination.
• Automate recurring data workflows using PowerShell or similar scripting languages to enhance efficiency and reduce operational effort.
• Support evidence preparation, control related data requests, and IT audit/compliance reporting activities.

Our requirements

• Hands on experience with Databricks or an equivalent cloud based analytics platform.
• Strong command of SQL and/or Python for data extraction, transformation, and integration.
• Proven ability to modify, optimise, and create efficient scripts in response to business requirements.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail — able to deliver reliable, structured datasets to support control and assurance objectives.
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or ControlRight.
• Excellent English communication skills, capable of translating technical results into business friendly language.
• Comfortable using Confluence, Jira, or similar collaboration tools for documentation and task tracking.

Optional

• Experience automating tasks and workflows with PowerShell or other scripting tools.
• Basic understanding of IT audit, compliance, and control frameworks.
• Previous experience working in a regulated or enterprise technology environment.
