About the project

In Cyclad we work with top international IT companies in order to boost their potential in delivering outstanding, cutting-edge technologies that shape the world of the future. We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Governance Advisor in the Data Catalog. You will translate business needs into platform implementation: when a team brings a business need, you translate it into a workable governance approach, then support the enablement and adoption. You understand the business purpose behind a data catalog and data governance, and how to tell whether it is succeeding, well enough to shape the right approach rather than just execute instructions.

Your responsibilities

• Take a business need from advisory or stakeholder teams and turn it into a workable governance approach in Purview or Fabric, including options and trade-offs.
• Support adoption: Help stewards and consumers discover, publish and rely on data products, and make usage visible.
• Design and facilitate workshops that align stakeholders
• Produce and maintain reference artifacts such as runbooks, governance frameworks and feature-watch, and keep them current.
• Explain governance concepts clearly so non-specialists can make and defend decisions.
• Spot lagging adoption or understanding and act on it early.
• Handle support tickets
• Keep learning as the platform changes, and continuously work on improving the current solution.

Our requirements

• Solid experience in data governance concepts and data products
• Strong understanding of Data product concepts: ownership, lifecycle, usability, trust
• Experience working with Microsoft Purview or Microsoft Fabric and turning a business need into a workable governance approach
• Stakeholder communication across business and technical audiences
• Adoption and enablement: workshops, documentation, supporting usage
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical governance approaches and implementation roadmaps.
• Experience facilitating workshops and driving organizational adoption of governance frameworks.
• Experience with DAMA-DMBOK and glossary or metadata modelling (a plus)
• Using AI tools to improve delivery (a plus)
• Very good English skills
