About the project

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team at EPAM Systems in Poland.

This position offers a hybrid work model — combining remote work with 3 days per week from one of our EPAM offices located in Kraków, Wrocław, or Gdańsk. This setup allows you to enjoy flexibility while staying connected with your team and benefiting from in-person collaboration.

We value collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence. Whether you're passionate about building robust backend systems, crafting seamless user interfaces, or bridging the gap between both — we'd love to hear from you. If you're an experienced developer looking for new challenges, diverse projects, and a supportive engineering culture, EPAM is the place to grow your career.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable fullstack applications using Java-based backend technologies and modern frontend frameworks
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services to support complex business requirements
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle — from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, business analysts, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to architectural decisions and advocate for best practices in code quality, security, and performance
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure maintainability and adherence to coding standards
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and stability of delivered features
• Work with messaging systems and asynchronous communication patterns to support distributed architectures
• Continuously identify opportunities for technical improvement and contribute to the evolution of the technology stack

Our requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Full Stack software development
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building enterprise-grade backend applications
• Solid knowledge of Spring Security for implementing authentication, authorization, and secure application design
• Proven experience in designing and developing REST APIs following industry best practices
• Proficiency in working with SQL databases, including writing complex queries, performance tuning, and data modeling
• Experience writing reliable and maintainable tests using JUnit or similar testing frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming, asynchronous messaging, and building event-driven architectures
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework — Angular or React — including component-based architecture and state management
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international, Agile team environment
• Proficiency in English (B2+), both written and spoken

Optional

• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and automated provisioning of cloud resources
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its core services
• Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or secondary application development
• Experience with Hibernate ORM for object-relational mapping and database interaction in Java applications
• Experience with AWS cloud services, particularly Lambda, ECS, and DynamoDB, for building and deploying cloud-native applications
