Senior Test Data Engineer / Test Data Specialist (f/m)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Data Engineer / Test Data Specialist to join an international project within the financial sector.

The role is strongly focused on Test Data Management (TDM), including designing, preparing, and automating the delivery of reliable test data to non-production environments. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience working with large databases and mainframe systems.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain reusable test data assets

• Develop automated test data provisioning solutions

• Build self-service mechanisms enabling teams to access test data on demand

• Implement data masking and anonymization processes

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal data privacy policies

• Create synthetic test datasets, including data for edge cases and negative testing

• Refresh, clone, and perform subsetting of test datasets

• Work with data from mainframe systems, including data extraction, data lineage, masking, and subsetting

• Integrate test data generation and provisioning processes into CI/CD pipelines

• Support automated, integration, regression, and E2E testing

• Monitor test data availability and quality

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues

• Document processes, standards, and data dependencies

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Test Data Management, test data engineering, test automation, or related areas

• Strong hands-on experience with Test Data Management (TDM)

• Very good knowledge of SQL and experience working with large relational/enterprise databases

• Hands-on experience with mainframe systems and mainframe data

• Experience with data masking and anonymization

• Experience with data subsetting, data cloning, and test data provisioning

• Experience creating synthetic test datasynthetic test data

• Understanding of GDPR / data privacy

• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Java

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices

• Experience supporting automated, integration, or E2E testing

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to Have

• Experience with Tricentis Tosca TDM, Curiosity Software, Delphix, or Informatica TDM

• Experience within the banking or financial services sector

• Experience with API testing and web services

• Knowledge of Kubernetes or cloud platforms

• Experience with AI-assisted test data creation

• Experience supporting large-scale E2E customer journey testing
