DevOps Engineer

About the project

Why join us?

Because what we build actually goes into the water and does the job - for both commercial and military use. It's real-world autonomy, not just theory. We’re a driven and focused team. You’ll have space to try things, ask questions, suggest better ways, and be heard. Your work will actually help shape the product.

If you want to work on something that matters, with people who actually care, this might be your place.

We aim for full transparency and predictable steps in recruitment process:

* Intro interview (30 min)

* Technical interview with polish team

* Technical talk with Boston team

* Final interview with an offer or feedback

If all that resonates with you feel free to send us your resume. We’d love to chat and see if this is a great fit for you. Also, if you believe you have the skills and potential but don't tick every box - we still encourage you to apply. Let's talk and get to know each other.

Your responsibilities

• Keep our deployment pipeline healthy: monitor builds, fix failures, and make improvements to speed and reliability
• Develop deployment tools and integrate with third-party applications for over-the-air (OTA) updates and fleet maintenance
• Design, support, and troubleshoot on-vessel networks, mesh VPNs (Tailscale/WireGuard), and multi-WAN failover (cellular, Starlink, satellite)
• Build and maintain commissioning tools to assist Field Engineers for simplified deployment of our autonomous system
• Maintain our edge and cloud container environments (Docker, Balena/fleet OTA, Kubernetes) and monitoring/alerting for fleet infrastructure
• Work with autonomy, perception, UI, and systems engineers, operations, and product management
• Maintain technical documentation and help with installer and user documentation
• Participate in on-water testing with our test fleet

Our requirements

• Strong experience with AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, ECR, S3, IAM)
• Working experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Strong experience with containerization and virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Clear communication of complex ideas to engineers, executives, and customers
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work on boats
